Los Angeles – ACE’s outreach to operators of two major IPTV subscription services in the United States resulted in the services going offline permanently.
Following a cease-and-desist demand to Big Daddy TV, an IPTV service using the BigOTV app, bigdaddytv.us is now offline and the domain has been officially transferred to ACE. With approximately 5000 visits between March and May of 2020, Big Daddy TV’s service featured 6000 live channels which included 1,444 24/7 channels. The service also had over 2600 VOD movies and more than 240 television shows available.
ACE also issued cease-and-desist communication to Ace TV, an IPTV subscription service and ISD seller. The domain for clear-choice.tv was shut down permanently. Ace TV, which had a total of approximately 475,000 visits, had over 2700 live domestic and international TV channels, mainly focusing on US content including premium channels, live events, sports, regional and local broadcasts. The service also provides over 170 channels of television shows and film from different providers playing 24/7.
“ACE’s work is multi-faceted and our comprehensive cease-and-desist communication strategy is one of the most powerful tools we have available to us in the global fight against piracy,” said Jan van Voorn, Executive Vice President and Chief of Global Content Protection for the MPA.
Both domains now redirect to the “Watch It Legally” page on the ACE website at www.alliance4creativity.com/where-to-watch/.
