January 30, 2018 — A Federal District Court in Los Angeles today granted a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit by members of the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) against TickBox. The following is a statement by Zoe Thorogood, a spokesperson for ACE:
“The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment is pleased the Court has granted a preliminary injunction against TickBox, a seller of piracy devices that advertised free and easy access to unauthorized movies and television shows. This is an important step, particularly given the Court’s conclusion that the ACE members are likely to succeed on the merits of their case. We look forward to further developments in this case.”
